Project Goal: Along with Knight Fellow Ana Arana, will work with TV outlets in Mexico to take advantage of the new Access to Information law and produce hard-hitting investigative coverage in ways not possible before.

Biography: Susana  Seijas  is  a  freelance  journalist  based  in Mexico City. She currently  hosts  a  half-hour  nightly news program for  Mexico City’s Imagen Radio.     


Previously she was a producer for BBC  News.  Her  past    assignments  include  60  Minutes  II,  The  Discovery  Channel,  Fox  News, Voice of America, TV Azteca (Mexico), Latin America Press (Peru) and Herald News (New Jersey) among others. She  also has worked at the Freedom Forum in  London.      


Seijas is president of the Mexico advisory committee of the Rory Peck Trust, a nongovernmental organization dedicated to  the welfare of freelance journalists.     


Susana is a graduate of Leeds University  (Russian  Studies)  and  the  Graduate  School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York.
