developed a comprehensive database and guide for journalists to investigate and expose corruption in the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Knight Fellow Paul Radu, co-founder of the Romanian Center for Investigative Journalism, trained scores of reporters to use these new tools to break stories.

• Created a comprehensive database that tracks corporations and their links to governments in the region.
• Helped start investigative journalism centers in Hungary and Kosovo.
